3-Ingredient Butter Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened and slightly melted
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two large baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
2. Cream Butter and Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter and powdered sugar.
Cream at the highest speed for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
The color should change from yellow to white, resembling whipped
If using a stand mixer, scrape down the sides of the bowl occasionally to ensure even mixing.
3. Incorporate Flour:
Add the flour to the mixture.
Start mixing on low speed, then gradually increase the speed once the flour is incorporated.
Mix until the dough forms a thick, soft consistency, similar to a thick paste.
4. Pipe the Dough:
Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large open star tip (about a 1/2-inch opening).
Pipe swirls or your preferred designs onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing the cookies 1 inch apart.
5. Chill the Dough:
Place the baking sheets with the piped cookies into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
This step helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much during baking.
6. Bake the Cookies:
Bake one sheet at a time in the middle rack of the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges and surface begin to lightly brown (approximately 18-20 minutes).
Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring them.
7. Store:
Store any uneaten cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
Enjoy these buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies!
