Rich and Creamy Shrimp and Crab Spinach Dip with Garlic and Parmesan

Ingredients:
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
1/2 pound lump crab meat, picked over for shells
3 cups fresh spinach, chopped (or 10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Crusty bread, tortilla chips, or crackers for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium-sized baking dish. - Sauté Shrimp and Spinach:
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until just pink. Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted (if using fresh). Remove from heat. - Mix the Base:
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, 3/4 cup of the Parmesan, mozzarella, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth. - Combine Ingredients:
Gently fold in the shrimp, spinach, and crab meat into the cheese mixture until well combined. - Assemble and Bake:
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. - Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm with crusty bread, tortilla chips, or crackers.
Tips:
Use fresh lump crab for the best flavor.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
Make ahead by assembling the dip, covering it, and refrigerating until ready to bake.
Brace yourself—this dip is dangerously addictive!
