Garlic Shrimp Crostini with Avocado

Here’s a simple yet elegant recipe for Garlic Shrimp Crostini with Avocado:

Ingredients

1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds

2 tbsp olive oil

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 avocado, mashed

1 tbsp lime juice

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

1. Prepare the Crostini:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil.

Bake for 7-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.

2. Cook the Shrimp:

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat.

3. Prepare the Avocado Spread:

In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lime juice. Add a pinch of salt to taste.

4. Assemble the Crostini:

Spread a layer of mashed avocado onto each crostini.

Top with one or two cooked shrimp.

5. Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
