Crispy Chili Honey Halloumi Bites

Golden, crunchy, sweet-and-spicy perfection! These Halloumi bites make the ultimate appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 blocks (8 oz each) Halloumi or Feta, cut into cubes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 ½ cups cornflakes, crushed
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp sweet paprika
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 1 ½ tsp chili pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare coating: In a bowl, combine crushed cornflakes, Parmesan, sesame seeds, and paprika.
  3. Coat the cheese: Dip each cube of cheese into the beaten eggs, then roll in the cornflake mixture until fully coated.
  4. Bake: Place the coated cheese cubes on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  5. Make chili honey: While the cheese bakes, warm the honey and chili flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Drizzle the warm chili honey over the baked Halloumi bites. Serve immediately.
