Char Siu Chicken

ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp five-spice powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger
Salt and pepper to taste
Sliced green onions (garnish)
Toasted sesame seeds (garnish)
Directions:
1. Prepare the marinade: Mix all ingredients except the chicken, green onions, and sesame seeds.
2. Marinate: Coat chicken with the marinade and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
3. Cook: Grill, bake, or pan-sear until fully cooked and caramelized.
4. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
