Crispy Parmesan Roasted Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli (or about 4 cups of florets)
  • 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (more for serving if desired)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the broccoli:
    Wash and thoroughly dry the broccoli. Cut into bite-sized florets. Drying helps them crisp up in the oven.
  3. Season:
    In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  4. Add Parmesan:
    Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the broccoli and toss gently again, just enough to coat.
  5. Roast:
    Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
    Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the edges are slightly charred and crispy, and the stems are just tender.
  6. Serve:
    Serve warm, optionally with a little more Parmesan sprinkled on top.
